The Asset Management Technology Team has an immediate and exciting opening in our Operating
Center located in Pune for an Applications Consultant seeking a dynamic, multi-platform environment.
It will provide the opportunity to enhance their skill set, work with our business partners to help define
and translate business requirements into technical designs, and become a technical lead on future
development projects generally involving reports generated using Coric and sourcing data from Eagle.
The Eagle Investment Systems is an accounting engine and data warehouse, and is the book of record
for Northern Trust Asset Management. Eagle is a web based front-end, running on both windows and
UNIX environments at Northern Trust, and has an Oracle based database. The system supports the setup
and maintenance of reference data, the posting of transactions, and various methods to report on the
data. NTAM uses SimCorp CORIC as its client and fund factsheet report generation application. CORIC
is comprised of five components that work in combination to automate the entire end-to-end report
generation process. Data is sourced from Eagle and other internal applications into CORIC for
consolidated reporting. NTAM technology also creates and uses micro services to retrieve data from
Eagle and other applications within Northern Trust for consumption by CORIC.
The Eagle and SimCorp CORIC applications are critical to Northern Trust Asset Management as they are
at the core of the business. Eagle is accessed by micro services to source data downstream to many
applications, including those that handle compliance monitoring, reconciliation, portfolio analysis, client
reporting, and performance calculations. This is a great opportunity to learn the investments business.
Some of the technologies used on the Asset Management Technology team include Java 8, micro
services, rest API, private cloud, rapid MQ, ETL, Control M (job scheduling), python, SQL, XML
Messaging, Oracle, FTP, Perl, Unix and Unix scripting. Support and fire calls are at a minimum, as
Production support is handled by a different technology team.

Experience
The ideal candidate would have:
• Bachelor’s Degree is required
NTAC:3NS-20
• 3-5 years working in financial / asset management / investment services
• 4+ years’ experience on Oracle design and development, database programming, performance tuning
and optimization using Oracle SQL.

2+ years working as a systems analyst translating business requirements into detailed technical
designs.
2+ years experience in Datastage ETL and JAVA
Experience in implementation, rollouts, integration, and migration of projects related to Datamarts
Knowledge in all phases of SDLC, experience in technical and functional systems analysis and design,
presentation, process data flow designs, system impact analysis and design documentation.
A good working knowledge of investment products, financial accounting, and client reporting.

Experience working with remote development partners in a past engagement.

Experience working as part of a SCRUM team or using Agile methodology, nice to have
